The Captains and Commanders are more numerous, and fulfill more specific roles within the Alliance, than the Admirals.

Taisa

  The Taisa are the regular PvP-certified FCs. These pilots have successfully passed the I-RED Academy's rigorous training program, and are qualified to manage official alliance operations, potentially on a large scale or in coordination with other friendly fleets.

Chusa

  The Chusa are non-PvP-certified nullsec FCs. Nullsec operations require many of the same skills as the Taisa, but do not involve forward deployment into hostile space. The Chusa are responsible for managing mining operations, shipping fleets, and exploration of deadspace sites. There are presently two distinct Chusa:

• Mining Operations
• Industrial Operations

Shosa

  The Shosa are specifically-tasked nullsec pilots, reponsible for discreet duties at the behest of the Chusa. In PvP, this rank signifies a Squad commander, who may be responsible for a small detachment operating independently from the main fleet. In non-PvP, this signifies individual pilots responsible for specific tasks. Examples of specific classes of Shosa are:

• Factory Operations
• POS Logistics
• Freighter Group
